Winter Book (1995 Winter Book)

Winter Book is the eighth annual MCBA Winter Book. Writing and images are by Thomas Rose. Charles Alexander of Chax Press carried out the editing, design, and letterpress printing. Handmade paper covers are by Bridget O’Malley; the binding is by Wilber Schilling. Printing on translucent UV paper is by Northwest Printing, with pre-press work by SCS. Photoengraved plates for printing images were made by the Royal Engraving Company. Gill Sans type, with titling in Univers and found text in Times Roman, has been printed letterpress on Lana Royal paper. Other papers are Hosho and UV Ultra II.

This book was completed with the committed volunteer work of interns active in all facets of book production: Maria Bianchi, Derek Black, Kristin Cory, Kathleen Haley, Julie Hiebert, Leigh Holden, Annette Kavanaugh, Anne Kleinhenz, Angela Liguori, David Logan, Dara Oken, Vanessa Rousseau, Jennifer Severson, Virginia Sutton, Heidi Valera, Chamindika Wanduragala, and Judy Werner.

The Standard Edition (1 of 110) was produced with handmade paper covers. 7” x 10”

The Deluxe Edition is comprised of a handbound book with handmade paper over boards, enclosed in a box with a removable print signed by Thomas Rose. 7.25” x 10.5” x 1”
